There are a few things that successful property managers and landlords are doing to market rental properties. Today, we’re sharing some of those ideas with you.  

Marketing Rental Properties Online

With the internet and social media, there are endless opportunities to get your property out there. Good photos are always important. Utilize social media platforms and rental websites. A company website also helps, when you’re working with a management company. 

Some rental websites are for specific types of properties, like apartments and multi-family homes. Others will advertise all rental properties. There are dozens of them available, and they are all a good way to gain some exposure for your home. 

Marketing Rental Properties with Signs and Flyers 

Putting a sign up is still a good idea. You do want to have some exposure on the street. There may be neighbors who want a family friend to move into the area. If they see a sign pop up, they will make the referral. Flyers on signposts also don’t hurt. 

These marketing methods are great to include, but the majority of people find their next home by searching online. There are some really good websites out there with great feedback for tenants and landlords. 

Keeping Up with Technology when Marketing

Virtual tours are a really hot way to market properties right now. People are also utilizing drones and doing some complex camera work. If you’re a tech savvy person, you can handle the marketing yourself. Otherwise, contract with a professional management company to help you market at that level.
