About Us

Chris first started working for the firm in 1994 as an independent painting contractor while also attending Washington State University. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science and in 1999 decided to come indoors and joined the management team to become a Portfolio Community Manager.

Chris transitioned into the head of the Community Management Department and over the next 10 years managed a diverse portfolio of Condominium and HOA communities while also managing the Community Management Portfolio’s overall growth to over 60 communities in Washington and Oregon.

Chris took over the daily operations of the entire firm in 2008 which allowed his father Steve to step back and pursue more specific career interests. Chris has served as an expert witness in several legal proceedings including a multi-million dollar condominium construction defect case and multiple tenant-landlord cases. Continuing the firm’s strong belief in education Chris sat on the OWCAM Board of Directors for several years.

Rebecca has been working in the Real Estate industry for well over 25 years, and serves as IWM’s Chief Operating Officer. Rebecca works with the Single Family Rental Division, the Multi-Family Division and the HOA Division, as well as handling Real Estate Sales. She has served as President of the Clark County Association of Realtors Foundation (CCARF); Director, CCAR Board of Directors, and is a graduate of Leadership Clark County. Rebecca has volunteered with the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, (GVCC) and co-chaired the GVCC Ambassador program. She has served as a member of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library (FVRL) District Board of Directors, and as Vice-Chair of the FVRL Foundation. Rebecca is a past President of Vancouver Metro Sunset Rotary, and as a Board member of Oregon Washington Community Association Managers. Rebecca loves this industry and helping clients make the most of their real estate investment.

Kait came to Invest West as the HR, Recruitment, and Culture Manager with 14 years of Recruiting and HR experience, in the Grocery Retail Industry and Manufacturing Industry. She has since stepped into a leadership role as our Director of Human Resources, and has earned her SHRM Senior Certified Professional Designation from the Society For Human Resource Management.

She has a drive for serving and helping others in the workplace and out. She was born and raised in Northern California and relocated to PNW in 2008. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband. Together they love to hike, travel and enjoy weekly family game nights.

With nearly a decade of experience in property management, Caitlin has built her career leading maintenance operations with a focus on exceptional service, process improvement, and safety. She is passionate about developing strong teams and creating practical, effective systems that deliver a better experience for clients and residents. Caitlin also enjoys sharing her experience and passion for leadership as a speaker at local and regional industry events. Outside of work, she enjoys baking sourdough, spending time with her husband, and spoiling her dog, Tilly.

Mary Andersen has been a valued member of Invest West Management since 2006. She began her career with the company as a receptionist and, through her dedication, expertise, and commitment to continuous growth, has advanced into her current accounting role. As a key member of the accounting team, Mary supports the Financial Controller by helping oversee the day-to-day accounting operations across rental and HOA divisions. Her extensive knowledge of property management accounting, combined with years of hands-on experience, makes her a resource to both the accounting department and the organization as a whole. Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance with a minor in Management from Washington State University, as well as an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from Clark College. Mary enjoys spending time at the beach and with family outside of work.

Alicia has rejoined us and will be working as our Corporate Accountant. Alicia has over 25 years of experience in property management accounting. When she is not working, you will find Alicia camping, motorcycle riding, and being out on the water. She enjoys time spent with her husband, two daughters and granddaughter.

John brings more than 30 years of experience in accounting and property management to Invest West Management. Throughout his career, he has led accounting teams across the property management and retail industries. His expertise includes management accounting, budgeting, payroll, financial reporting, and real estate investing. John is passionate about building efficient financial processes and supporting organizational growth through sound financial leadership. On his days off, you will find him spending time with his family in the mountains skiing, camping, hiking, or just at home listening to music.

Megan brings more than a decade of experience in property management, specializing in operations, training, and process improvement. She leads company-wide initiatives focused on operational excellence, compliance, and employee development, including managing the company's learning management system (LMS) and delivering training programs. Megan is a Customer Experience Executive (CXE), having completed the Customer Experience Academy through The DiJulius Group, and is passionate about creating exceptional experiences for both customers and employees. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Tracy is currently the head of the Multi Family Department at Invest West Management. Since starting in 2000 Tracy has gained knowledge of all aspects of property management services including HOA management, single family/multi-family management, as well as commercial management.

In her current role she is in charge of management and operations of all multi-family complexes from Longview WA to Eugene Or. Tracy is in charge of hiring, training, and overseeing on-site staff and working with owners to make the properties function at their highest potential.

Tracy has worked with owners/properties from brand new construction and full lease up of large communities to rehabbing and upgrading older building/complexes needing a new face lift. Tracy’s expertise allows her to maintain the properties at its highest service level while still controlling costs to allow the properties to maintain a positive cash flow.

Jordan Hall, Special Projects Manager, has been with IWM for several years, and is the main contact point with our clients and vendors on maintenance and renovation projects. His goal when working with clients is to provide the highest quality of work and response time when working to help maintain their properties. In his free time, Jordan enjoys hiking with his dog, and spending time with family and friends.

Sunday has been working in the Real Estate industry in the Portland/Vancouver area for well over 20 years and has been with IWM since March of 2010. Sunday studied Psychology at WSU and received her certificate in Woman Studies from Portland State University. Sunday has supported many departments within IWM since she began her employment and currently is the assistant to the multi-family rental department and 2 portfolio managers. Sunday has strong organizational skills, excellent customer service qualities, and always goes out of her way to assist our clients and customers.

Kerri has several years of residential property management experience, with both leasing and site management among her credentials. She enjoys working with our Residents and supporting our rental communities all around the PWN. In her spare time Kerri enjoys being at home with her family.

Jackie has over 15 years of providing exceptional customer service from the hospitality and retail industry. Passionate about providing seamless service with a client first approach, he looks forward to assisting you with all of your property management needs and goals. Jackie recently moved to the area and enjoys traveling, thrifting, cooking, and trying new restaurants and cuisines.

With over 20 years of experience as a Customer Service Representative, Walenda has developed an extensive career in building loyal client relationships and enhancing client engagement. Her passion lies in ensuring that clients feel their needs are heard and met with both respect and efficiency, and she is excited to help facilitate the customer experience here at Invest West Management.

Outside of work Walenda enjoys socializing, dancing, listening to music, and is a mother to four beautiful children. She is committed to living a fulfilling life by staying present, giving generously, and being true to herself.

Luis joins Invest West with more than nine years of experience in property management. He began his career in maintenance and advanced through a variety of roles before transitioning into marketing. He now brings over six years of experience developing and executing marketing strategies for real estate brands, including brand positioning, digital marketing, content development, lead generation, and audience engagement. His hands-on knowledge of property operations gives him a valuable perspective on how to effectively showcase communities, connect with prospective residents, and support business growth.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children at the beach, riding horses, and participating in outdoor activities.

With a background in accounting, property management, and construction administration, Darlin brings valuable financial and operational expertise to our accounting team. She supports the financial side of residential maintenance and renovation projects by managing invoice processing, reviewing billing documentation, tracking expenses against budgets, reconciling vendor accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple properties. Darlin works closely with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies, ensure timely payments, and keep maintenance-related costs organized and properly documented. Her attention to detail and understanding of property operations help promote financial accuracy, accountability, and efficiency throughout the department.

Outside of work, Darlin enjoys dancing, acting, filmmaking, and exploring creative projects.

Erick comes to Invest West with more than 10 years of professional experience. He brings a diverse engineering background and has worked with leading multinational companies, nonprofit organizations, and U.S. law firms. He also has experience helping organizations develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs). In his role supporting training and auditing for our Rental team, he uses his expertise in quality assurance, process development, and client service to maintain our SOPs and promote consistency, accuracy, and operational excellence across the department.

Outside of work, he is a devoted family man, coffee enthusiast, and father of two boys. He enjoys hands-on DIY projects and spending quality time with his family.

IWM’s Maintenance Team has over 150 years of experience in the maintenance field, handling everything from routine turnover maintenance, painting, vinyl plank flooring, tub surrounds, tile, door and window replacements, deck repairs, and more. We offer proactive maintenance programs to efficiently maintain your home in a cost-effective manner.

Founder of Invest West Management formed in 1979. Steve earned a BS Degree from Oregon State University. He has an extensive background in the real estate management industry, holding a professional CPM® designation. Steve has served on numerous trade association committees and directorships. He has been an active member of IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management), participating on both the local Chapter #29 level as past president and on the national level as Regional Vice President for Region 12. Steve has spent over 20 years promoting the IREM ethics classes and serving in all capacities on the IREM national ethics and discipline committees and boards.

Steve, an avid sailor, has also written several articles for the Journal of Property Management (JPM), has taught real estate investment classes in the local community at Clark College, and has spoken at several other community events.

A recent accomplishment was being a nationally published author in the real estate industry by completing an extensive book on association management, called Community Associations, A Guide to Successful Management. Steve co-authored this book with Vickie Gaskill, CPM®.
